Our topic this term
Our new topic, 'On The Move' is all about exploring adventures in different environments around the world. We will learn about journeys in our local environment, as well as exciting places like the polar regions, deserts, and jungles. Along the way, we will discover how people travel using different modes of transport on land, on water, and in the sky, and how these help us move and explore our world.
PE and outdoor learning
PE days are Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
Outdoor Learning is on Monday morning.
Home learning
Each Friday, children in Willows Class will bring home a reading book, and a set of handwriting sheets to practise during the week. Sharing books at home helps build confidence, develop early reading skills, and foster a love of stories, while the handwriting activities support letter formation and fine motor development. We kindly ask that books, and completed handwriting sheets, are returned to school the following week, so we can celebrate your child’s progress and provide new materials.
Useful information
- Please bring in your child's book bag every day.
- Wellies and PE kit need to stay at school, but will be sent home over the holidays for washing.
- Coats should be sent whenever it is cold or rain is forecast.
- Please ensure that all clothes and shoes are labelled so they can be returned to your child easily.
