Shipley CE Primary School

SEND

‘Pupils with SEND have their needs identified quickly and are supported thoughtfully.’

Ofsted, May 2024

All staff work closely with parents to ensure inclusive practice principles are met. If a child is identified as having additional needs, the school have a number of programmes and strategies in place to support them. The school works with other specialist agencies within West Sussex. Teachers and teaching assistants have training and support to be able to adapt provision to suit the needs of the child, wherever possible, in addition to adult support, pupils are encouraged to develop skills of self-help and independent working, including assistive technology.

Mrs Lorna Jessopp, SENCo, is responsible for SEND at Shipley CE Primary School.

If you wish to contact her, please contact the school office on 01403 741298 or email senco@shipley.w-sussex.sch.uk
