Dear Sycamore Class & Parents,

This term, our theme is Endurance.  We will be exploring how humans survive and thrive in some of the world's most challenging environments, from freezing polar regions to hot deserts.  Along the way, we will learn about inspiring individuals, develop our research skills and present our findings in creative ways.  

Our class book this term is The Secret of Golden Island by Natasha Farrant.  This action-packed adventure story follows Skylar and Yakov as they work together to win an island.

PE & OUTDOOR LEARNING

PE: Monday and Wednesday outside with Mr Petros.

Outdoor Learning: This is held fortnightly on a Tuesday,  Please can children bring waterproof trousers and a jacket with warm clothes underneath.

HOME LEARNING

Maths & English homework: Homework will be set each Thursday and collected on the following Wednesday.

Reading: We expect children will read regularly and record their reading in their Reading Record book.  The Reading Record books are collected on a Friday and each 'read' is counted.
